SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team.
In this pivotal role, you will provide individualised and group support to students, with a special focus on those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Your efforts will be key to helping students achieve the goals outlined in their Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring they blossom in all aspects of their development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support with SEND.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Demonstrate excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs.
- Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.
- Understand and accommodate different children's needs and learning styles.
Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in UK
- Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
- 2 recent professional references
- Ability to communicate with and inspire children.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
- Previous experience working with SEND students is essential.
- A good sense of humour and a positive attitude towards supporting students.
- Demonstrated ability in behaviour management strategies.
- Excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques.
- Understanding of different children's needs and learning styles.
