Randstad Education is seeking dedicated and reliable Learning support assistants to join our team in and around the area of Witham. This role involves working closely with special educational needs children on a 1:1, small group, and intervention basis.
Many of our client schools excel in supporting students with Autism and other barriers to learning, their passionate teams work tirelessly to help each child achieve their full potential. They also make sure that staff can think, act and are trained appropriately to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times.
Requirements:
- An up to date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or the willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
- Previous experience working with young people with challenging behaviour is essential.
- Strong understanding of various special educational needs, along with excellent communication, patience, and empathy.
- Ability to manage and positively respond to challenging behaviour.
