Job Summary
As an SEN Maths Teacher in this purpose-built specialist school, you'll support students aged 11-18 with a wide range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). You'll deliver adapted and engaging maths lessons that focus on both academic development and functional numeracy skills essential for independence.

Requirements
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Proven experience teaching students with SEN in a UK setting
Legal right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Resilience, creativity, and empathy in the classroom
Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
Qualification/Education
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Secondary or Primary trained considered with SEN experience
Specialised training in SEND or additional qualifications (e.g. NASENCO, Team Teach) is advantageous
Experience
Experience delivering maths in an SEN setting is essential
Familiarity with P Scales, Engagement Model, or Entry Level Functional Maths
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver accessible maths lessons tailored to EHCP targets
Use visuals, manipulatives, and assistive technology
Work collaboratively with TAs and therapists (OTs, SLTs)
Record and assess pupil progress using individualised targets
Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour needs
Assist with personal care tasks where applicable
