Randstad Education is actively seeking a dynamic, solution-focused, and caring individual to fill a critical Pupil Mentor/Learning Support position, specifically catering to Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is a full-time, long-term placement requiring an immediate start at an outstanding school located in the Wirral.

Responsibilities
- Targeted Learning Assistance: Deliver effective, customised academic help through one-to-one sessions and small-group work for students with documented SEN.
- Support Plan Execution: Work hand-in-hand with teaching professionals to carry out detailed Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and implement responsive, flexible teaching practices.
- Classroom Culture Development: Contribute to maintaining a positive, respectful, and disciplined classroom setting that promotes focused learning.
- Data Collection & Review: Meticulously record, evaluate, and report on student's academic performance, emotional state, and progress toward agreed-upon targets.
- Inspirational Guidance: Act as an accessible role model, fostering trusting relationships to boost student's self-confidence, emotional regulation, and social competence.
Requirements:
- Sector Experience: A mandatory minimum of six months demonstrable experience providing in-class support, with a specific focus on SEN pupils, within a recognised UK school environment.
- Key Disposition: Must display a naturally patient, resilient, and highly energetic outlook when engaging with diverse and complex learning needs.
- Core Aptitudes: Exhibit superior verbal and written communication, strong collaboration skills, and meticulous organisational abilities.
- Compliance Ready: Must possess a current and satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, or show the immediate willingness to submit an application upon receiving a conditional offer.
- Added Advantage: Experience applying specific intervention techniques or supporting pupils with challenges like Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) is beneficial.
