SEND Learning Support Assistant - Rainham
Salary: £90 - £110 per day (Weekly Pay)

Randstad Education is seeking dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to join forward-thinking secondary schools in Rainham.
The transition through secondary school is a pivotal time for students with additional needs. In this setting, "wins" are measured by growing independence whether that is a student gaining the confidence to contribute to a class discussion or successfully managing the transition between subject blocks. We are looking for professional, steady individuals who can provide the consistent support these students need to flourish.
The Role
Inclusion Support: Assist secondary students with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH) to access the curriculum and engage with complex subjects.
Independence Mentoring: Help pupils develop the life skills and self-regulation strategies they need as they move toward adulthood.
Curriculum Adaptation: Collaborate with subject-specialist teachers to modify tasks, ensuring learning materials are accessible and inclusive.
Small-Group Interventions: Lead targeted sessions focused on literacy, numeracy, or social-emotional development to close the attainment gap.
The Requirements
Experience: A background in education, youth mentoring, psychology, or social care is highly desirable.
Resilience: The ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced secondary environment.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with teenagers and coordinate effectively with the school's SENCO.
Commitment: Availability for full-time hours (Monday to Friday) during term time.
DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to apply for one).
