Are you a dedicated Maths educator with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an SEN Maths Teacher situated in Tower Hamlets, London.
Position Overview: As an SEN Maths Teacher, you'll be instrumental in delivering tailored Maths education to meet the unique needs of SEN students. Your role involves collaborating closely with students, parents, and support staff to develop personalised learning plans that facilitate academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging Maths lessons that cater to the diverse abilities and learning styles of SEN students.
- Provide differentiated instruction and individualised support to address specific learning needs.
- Collaborate with SEN coordinators and external professionals to devise effective support strategies.
- Conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation to track student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements, progress, and behaviour in compliance with school policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching Maths to SEN students, preferably in a mainstream or SEN school setting.
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Genuine commitment to inclusive education and supporting the holistic development of SEN students.
