Position Details

Your Main Duties:

• Preparing and delivering focused lessons that meet different student needs.
• Checking student progress and using results to improve teaching.
• Making learning materials accessible for all students.
• Working closely with support staff, parents, and other essential services.
• Keeping the classroom organised, safe, and positive.

Required Professional Standards

To qualify for this role, you must meet these non-negotiable standards:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
• Proven work history teaching students with a range of Special Educational Needs in a UK school.
• Excellent understanding of SEN rules, effective intervention methods, and how to adapt lessons for different learners.
• You must be patient, flexible, take initiative, and be strong in handling the classroom.
• A current, clear Enhanced DBS check is required, or you must be ready to secure one quickly.

Advantage: Additional training or significant experience with students who have very complex learning difficulties is highly valued.
