As an SEN Teacher, you'll work as part of a team to create a safe, engaging classroom where every student can succeed.
Responsibilities
- Create and teach tailored lessons to meet the needs of SEN students, following the national curriculum.
- Apply innovative and flexible teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Create a calm, respectful, and inclusive space where every student feels safe and supported.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, creating individual education plans (IEPs) when necessary.
- Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to ensure holistic support.
- Encourage independence, resilience, and self-confidence in students.

Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Experience working with students with special educational needs in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key stage 2 (KS2).
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable teaching approach.
- Ability to manage behaviour positively and proactively.
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
- Two recent professional references from educational environments.
