An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive Qualified SEN Teacher to join our partner Special Educational Needs (SEN) School in Linton. We are seeking a talented and inspirational educator to lead and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students with a range of complex needs. This is a chance to make a profound and lasting impact on young lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual learning needs of students with SEN.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress against their individual learning goals and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages independence, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of Teaching Assistants and Support Staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to student development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers to provide updates on student progress and foster a strong home-school partnership.
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in staff meetings, training, and school events.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience teaching students with a range of special educational needs (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, complex learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs).
- A strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and experience with developing and implementing EHCPs.
- The ability to create and deliver engaging and accessible lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Excellent classroom management skills with a positive approach.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
- A Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
