Position Overview: As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to SEN students across various subjects and age groups. Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals, you will develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects, adapting teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to SEN students, addressing their specific learning needs and challenges.
- Collaborate with SEN coordinators, parents, and external agencies to develop comprehensive support plans and ensure consistency in student care.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly to facilitate academic and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements, progress, and behaviour in accordance with school policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with SEN students, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions, learning difficulties, and evidence-based teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education and supporting the holistic development of SEN students.
