Position Overview: As an SEN Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering tailored education and support to SEN students. Collaborating closely with colleagues and external stakeholders, you'll create personalised learning plans to address the unique needs of each student, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students.
- Provide individualised support and small group instruction, catering to specific learning challenges and abilities.
- Work collaboratively with SEN coordinators, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement comprehensive support plans.
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to foster academic and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements, progress, and behaviour in adherence to school policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with SEN students in an educational setting.
- In-depth knowledge of various SEN conditions, learning difficulties, and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting the holistic development of SEN students.
