If yes, this is for you! Then look no further - We're currently offering an opportunity for an SEN Teacher to work full time for 5 days in a week in a School in Wakefield.
We're looking for a patient Teacher to support children at this wonderful specialist school that believes in providing equal opportunities for all students. The school based in the WF7 area is motivated to be an open door for pupils to new opportunities and experiences.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 months experience teaching children with special education needs and disabilities.
- An Enhanced Child DBS (we can help you with the process if you don't have one)
- QTS or equivalent (preferable)
- Knowledge of supporting children with additional needs and patience to support them in a SEN setting.
- An understanding that every child is different and that one approach does not suit all.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, differentiate, and deliver lessons across classes.
- Being accommodating to the different requirements of each child.
- Provide learning and emotional support in a 1:1 setting or small groups.
- Communicate with parents and staff to develop an inclusive curriculum.
- Have a strong classroom presence and drive children to learn.
