We are actively seeking a talented teaching assistant equipped to support a SEMH Pupil on 1:1 basis in a school based out of Kirklees area. This will be a full time position and you are expected to work from Monday through Friday (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) starting September until October 2024.

Roles & Responsibilities:
... - Assist pupils with practical activities using a variety of teaching aids.
- Create a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment.
- Supervise pupils with SEMH, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.
- Build a trusting relationship with all pupils and communicate according to their understanding.
- Promote inclusion and acceptance, support diversity and ensure pupils have equal access to learning and development.
Requirements:
- A good understanding of the national Key Stage (KS) curriculum and child development and learning.
- The ability to demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills, building positive relationships with pupils and understanding their needs.
- The ability to provide varying levels of individual attention, reassurance and support with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils' needs.
- The ability to provide constructive feedback to pupils in a way that reinforces self-esteem, handling complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one through randstad
- Must be eligible to work in the UK (No Sponsorship provided)
