An outstanding opportunity is available for a motivated SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a partner SEN School in Fordham. We are looking for someone to provide crucial assistance to students with a range of needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. This role offers you the chance to make a genuine, positive impact on young lives.
Your Role Will Involve:
- Providing tailored support to students, both one-on-one and in small groups.
- Aiding the classroom teacher in delivering creative and accessible lessons.
- Helping to cultivate a positive and encouraging learning space.
- Supporting students with their social and emotional development.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care.
- Assisting with the implementation of individual learning plans.
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience supporting students with SEN is essential.
- A compassionate, adaptable, and patient approach.
- The ability to form strong, trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A Child DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
