We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive SEN school in Beccles. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a variety of additional needs-including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges-helping them to grow in confidence and achieve their potential.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff, you'll help to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where pupils can flourish both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:
... - Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups within the classroom
- Assist with planning and delivering learning activities
- Encourage the development of communication, social skills, and independence
- Manage behaviour positively and sensitively
- Collaborate effectively with the wider school team and external professionals
- Promote a culture of inclusion, safety, and respect
- Supervise pupils during break and lunch times as required
What We're Looking For:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Child DBS on the update service
- Experience working with children or young people, especially those with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and take part in training
- A genuine commitment to supporting the wellbeing and development of every child
