A school in Blackburn is seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support for students with additional needs.

About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students to support their academic, social, and emotional well-being. This role requires patience and a passion for helping children succeed. Prior experience working with pupils with SEN is highly valued, and certifications are a plus, but not essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
Mentoring and guiding students who need extra support.
Helping to manage behavior and resolve classroom issues.
Working as part of a collaborative and welcoming team.
Listening, discussing, and explaining concepts to students.
Requirements
Experience working or volunteering with children with SEN.
A desire to work with children who have special educational needs or behavioral challenges.
An enhanced DBS (or the willingness to get one).
Knowledge of the curriculum is a plus.
