Randstad:Randstad is partnering with a school in Sefton to find a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers the chance to significantly impact the lives of students with special educational needs.
Position DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group support to students with diverse special educational needs.
- Collaborate closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment, assisting with behaviour management.
- Support lesson preparation and actively participate in monitoring student progress.
- Mentor and guide students, supporting them in achieving their academic and personal goals.
- Assist in creating and maintaining a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
- Participate in school events and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and relevant information.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- At least six months experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK school.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting students with SEN.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant educational qualification (e.g., teaching assistant certificate or equivalent).
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with students with diverse SEN needs (advantageous).
