Randstad Education is seeking a highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in Sefton. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing academic and personal support to students with special educational needs.
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted support to students individually and in small groups.
Work in partnership with teaching staff to implement individual education plans.
Contribute to effective classroom management and a positive learning atmosphere.
Support lesson activities and monitor student progress.
Act as a mentor to students, assisting them in achieving their goals.
Assist in creating an enriching learning environment.
Record and maintain accurate student data.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum of six months experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant within a UK school setting.
Demonstrated empathy, patience, and enthusiasm for working with students with SEN.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven organisational skills.
Must hold or be able to acquire an Enhanced DBS check.
Relevant educational qualification is preferred.
Experience supporting students with diverse SEN requirements is advantageous.
