Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Randstad Education is seeking a highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant for a school in Sefton. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing academic and personal support to students with special educational needs.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted support to students individually and in small groups.
• Work in partnership with teaching staff to implement individual education plans.
• Contribute to effective classroom management and a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support lesson activities and monitor student progress.
• Act as a mentor to students, assisting them in achieving their goals.
• Assist in creating an enriching learning environment.
• Record and maintain accurate student data.

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum of six months experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant within a UK school setting.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and enthusiasm for working with students with SEN.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven organisational skills.
• Must hold or be able to acquire an Enhanced DBS check.
• Relevant educational qualification is preferred.
• Experience supporting students with diverse SEN requirements is advantageous.
