We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding SEN school in Bury St Edmunds. This school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs in both 1:1 and group settings
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and adapting materials to suit individual needs
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent support and encouragement
- Help students develop social skills and independence, both in and out of the classroom
- Provide personal care where required, ensuring the dignity and comfort of all pupils
- Contribute to the preparation of classroom resources and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to track progress and share insights
- Participate in regular training and staff meetings to continue your own professional development
What We're Looking For:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Child DBS on the update service
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN or care setting
- A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to support learning and behaviour
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
- A willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic school environment
