The Role
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, adaptable, and genuinely committed to helping students with a wide range of needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring individual who wants to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide personalised support, helping students overcome challenges and reach their personal best.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons that are accessible to all.
- Help create a calm and encouraging classroom where students feel secure and motivated to learn.
- Support students' social, emotional, and physical development.
- Adjust learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of individual students.
- Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
- Assist with the overall well-being and supervision of students throughout the school day.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, with a strong preference for experience in an SEN setting.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to be flexible and resourceful.
- A positive attitude and a true commitment to helping students with SEN succeed.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are a plus, but not required.
