The Opportunity
We are searching for a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with students with a diverse range of special educational needs. If you are a caring, adaptable, and passionate individual, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, working closely with teachers and staff to provide tailored support that helps students overcome challenges and achieve their best.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide individualised and small-group support to students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons that are accessible to all.
- Help create a calm and encouraging classroom where students feel secure and motivated to learn.
- Assist with the social, emotional, and physical development of students.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the specific needs of each student.
- Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
- Assist with the overall well-being and supervision of students throughout the school day.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, with a preference for prior work in an SEN setting.
- A compassionate, empathetic, and genuinely kind nature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to be flexible and resourceful.
- A positive attitude and a deep commitment to helping students with SEN succeed.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are a plus, but not required.
