We are an innovative Special Needs school located near Chichester, urgently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team promptly. This full-time role within our KS2-3 Department entails providing support to learners on a 1:1, small group, and whole-class basis. Responsibilities:
- Support learners individually, in small groups, and in whole-class settings.
- Cultivate a warm, caring, and supportive environment, fostering safety and enjoyment in the learning journey.
- Contribute to delivering high-quality, challenging, and tailored educational activities aligned with a diverse curriculum.
- Strive to help pupils reach their full potential across all areas of learning.
- Communicate with parents and carers about pupils' progress, actively participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.
Requirements:
- Relevant childcare experience (voluntary or paid) (Must provide references)
- Experience working or volunteering with SEN (desirable)
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- Eligibility to work in the UK (No sponsorship provided)
- Enhanced DBS
- All experience levels considered; ideal candidates are flexible, resilient, and have a positive approach to supporting learners with SEN (direct SEN experience not essential)
- Relevant experience/knowledge of UK SEN settings (desirable)
