We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Great Yarmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and other support staff to help deliver tailored learning and care for students. You will play a key role in supporting both the academic progress and emotional development of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:
... - Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN
- Support students in developing social skills and building confidence
- Assist with classroom activities, lesson preparation, and resource creation
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
- Supervise pupils during break and lunchtime as required
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare responsibilities at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Child DBS on the update service.
- Experience working with children or young people (preferably in an SEN setting)
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and participate in training
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
(Teaching Assistant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning are desirable but not essential.)
