Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting students aged 11-19 with special learning needs and disabilities in a specialised setting.
- Assisting teachers and caregivers in achieving academic objectives.
- Engaging students in activities that stimulate creativity and imagination.
- Providing support to ensure students grasp lesson concepts.
- Working with students individually or in small groups to address their specific needs.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, caregivers, and parents to implement positive behaviour strategies and address student challenges.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with SEN students or relevant transferable skills.
- Patient, passionate, and professional demeanour.
- Ability to manage students with challenging behaviour.
- Confidence, punctuality, and eagerness to contribute.
- Effective behaviour management skills and the ability to cultivate positive learning relationships with SEN students.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Strong work ethic and a positive outlook.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (assistance available through Randstad if needed).
