About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a team near Meldreth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will be a vital part of a supportive and collaborative environment, helping to empower students to reach their full potential and thrive both academically and personally.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a wide range of needs.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
- Help create a positive, calm, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Support students' social, emotional, and physical development.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Assist with the general well-being and supervision of students throughout the school day.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, with a strong preference for experience in a SEN setting.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to be adaptable and resourceful in different situations.
- A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to helping students with SEN succeed.
- Relevant qualifications are a plus, but not essential.
