About the Role
We're looking for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a team near Milton. This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) reach their full potential. You'll work in a supportive environment, collaborating with staff to create a positive and inclusive space where every student can succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with various special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Help maintain a calm, secure, and encouraging atmosphere in the classroom.
- Support students' social, emotional, and physical development.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Assist with the overall well-being and supervision of students throughout the school day.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children, preferably in a special educational needs (SEN) setting.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to be flexible and resourceful in different situations.
- A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to helping students with SEN succeed.
- Relevant qualifications are a bonus, but not essential.
