About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in Northstowe. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with a variety of special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. You'll be part of a collaborative and welcoming environment, where your contribution will directly impact students' growth and well-being.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
- Help create a positive, calm, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Support students' social, emotional, and physical development.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Work with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Assist with the general well-being and supervision of students throughout the school day.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children, preferably in a special educational needs setting.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to be adaptable and resourceful.
- A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to helping students with SEN succeed.
- Relevant qualifications are a plus, but are not essential.
