• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder, learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Help create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages independence and a love for learning.
• Support the physical, emotional, and social development of students, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to student development.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting students with a range of special educational needs.
• A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEN and a patient, empathetic approach.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
