A specialist SEN school in the Wirral is seeking to appoint a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, PMLD, and CLD. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role
Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, social interaction, and personal development
Assisting with personal care when required
Recording pupil progress and contributing to EHCP reviews
Working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement tailored strategies
What You'll Need
Experience supporting children or young adults with SEN
A calm, patient, and resilient nature
Confidence in managing challenging behaviours
Willingness to support with personal care
Availability to start as soon as possible
Desirable Backgrounds
Previous experience in care work, youth work, or support work
Experience in SEN or mainstream school settings
