We are looking for a highly motivated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join an established SEN School in Snetterton. This is a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a positive and nurturing setting, assisting children and young people with a variety of complex needs, including autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and learning disabilities.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a key member of the team, collaborating with teachers and other professionals to support pupils' academic growth, personal development, and overall wellbeing. Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils, both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and daily activities.
- Help pupils develop their independence, communication, and social skills.
- Monitor and document pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies.
- Supervise pupils during breaks and lunch periods.
- Uphold all safeguarding protocols to ensure the safety and welfare of every child.
What We're Looking For
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A current Child DBS on the update service.
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in an SEN environment.
