We are searching for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful team at a respected SEN school in Quidenham. This role offers an incredible opportunity to work in a supportive setting, assisting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and learning disabilities.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, your contribution will be invaluable. You'll be working closely with teachers and other staff to support students' academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
- Assist with classroom preparation and organization.
- Foster pupils' communication, independence, and social skills.
- Track progress and provide timely feedback to the class teacher.
- Collaborate effectively with the school team and external agencies.
- Supervise pupils during non-lesson times, such as breaks and lunch.
- Ensure all safeguarding procedures are followed and pupil welfare is a priority.
What We're Looking For
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- A current Child DBS on the update service.
- Previous experience working with children or young people, preferably within an SEN context.
