We are actively seeking a devoted and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our partnered esteemed SEN school in Banham. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and learning disabilities.
About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be a key figure in the classroom, working alongside teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning, wellbeing, and personal development. Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils on a one-on-one basis and in small groups
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Encourage and support pupils' communication, independence, and social skills
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team and external agencies
- Supervise pupils during break and lunch times as needed
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote pupil welfare at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Child DBS on the update service
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting
- A calm, and caring approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and undertake training
- A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people
