We are searching for a devoted and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our partner SEN School in Stetterton. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nurturing environment, supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and learning disabilities.
About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be a vital part of the classroom, working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning, well-being, and personal development. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pupils both individually and in small groups
- Support with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Encourage and aid in the development of pupils' communication, independence, and social skills
- Monitor progress and provide detailed feedback to the class teacher
- Work effectively with the wider school team and external agencies
- Oversee pupils during their break and lunch periods as needed
- Uphold all safeguarding responsibilities and promote pupil welfare at all times
What We're Looking For:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Child DBS on the update service
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a SEN environment
- A calm, and supportive approach
- Excellent communication skills and a cooperative attitude
- A willingness to learn and participate in training
- A genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people
