We are seeking a proactive and committed Teaching Assistant to join our partnered SEN School in Thetford. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a nurturing environment, supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and learning disabilities.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a crucial part of the classroom, working with teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning, wellbeing, and personal growth. You'll help create a secure, positive, and inclusive space where every child feels valued and can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
- Encourage and support pupils' communication, independence, and social skills.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
- Work collaboratively with the wider school team and external agencies.
- Supervise pupils during break and lunch times as needed.
- Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote pupil welfare at all times.
What We're Looking For
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Child DBS on the update service.
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEN setting.
- A calm, caring, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to learn and undertake training.
