We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs and help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs. You will help create a positive, inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with special educational needs, including those with EHCPs.
- Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans, behaviour strategies, and sensory programmes.
- Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, adapting resources and strategies as needed.
- Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social interaction.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to the teacher and SENCO.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils, following school policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
- A commitment to inclusion, equality, and the wellbeing of every child.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
