We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with special educational needs and help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs. You will help create a positive, inclusive environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with special educational needs, including those with EHCPs.
• Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans, behaviour strategies, and sensory programmes.
• Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, adapting resources and strategies as needed.
• Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social interaction.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to the teacher and SENCO.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils, following school policies and procedures.
  
  

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
• A commitment to inclusion, equality, and the wellbeing of every child.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable.
