We are seeking an outstanding, deeply compassionate, and experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Primary Teacher to lead learning within their specialist provision.

The Role: Primary SEND Teacher (Resource Base Lead)
This is a leadership teaching role requiring expertise in primary curriculum delivery alongside specialist SEND pedagogy. You will be responsible for the planning, assessment, and daily running of the Resource Base, ensuring pupils receive a bespoke and ambitious curriculum that integrates sensory, communication, and academic goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess a highly individualized curriculum for a small group of primary pupils with complex needs, primarily ASC and SpLD.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the Resource Base, including the deployment and professional development of assigned Teaching Assistants (TAs).
- Develop and implement therapeutic and communication strategies (e.g., PECS, visual timetables, sensory diets) to support pupils' engagement and emotional regulation.
- Write, review, and meticulously monitor all Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring statutory and personalized targets are met.
- Act as the primary liaison for parents/carers and external professionals (e.g., Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists).
- Facilitate successful inclusion into mainstream primary classrooms for relevant lessons, providing training and guidance to mainstream staff.
- Track and record social, emotional, and academic progress using relevant data tools, reporting effectively to the SENCO and parents.
What We're Looking For
We need a proactive, skilled, and dedicated professional who puts the child at the centre of every decision.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant experience teaching primary-aged pupils with ASC and/or complex SpLD.
- A Postgraduate qualification or extensive CPD in a relevant SEND area (e.g., Autism, Specific Learning Difficulties, or Makaton/PECS proficiency) is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to create a highly structured, visual, and low-arousal learning environment.
- Deep knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum and how to adapt and scaffold it effectively for pupils working significantly below age-related expectations.
- Exceptional skills in collaboration, leadership, and staff mentoring (TAs).
- Highly patient, resilient, and reflective, with excellent communication skills tailored for a variety of audiences.
- Expert knowledge of diagnostic tools and evidence-based SEND interventions.
