We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teacher to join the committed and nurturing team at our inclusive primary and secondary school.

The Role: SEND Teacher
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher (NQT/ECT) to plan, deliver, and assess the learning for students with a diverse range of SEND. You will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey for some of our most vulnerable and high-need students, ensuring they make excellent academic and personal progress.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver highly differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to the specific needs and learning styles of students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Assess, monitor, and report on the progress, attainment, and well-being of designated students, maintaining accurate records.
- Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or student profiles in collaboration with parents, carers, and other professionals.
- Manage and direct the work of Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) within the dedicated resource base and in mainstream classes.
- Provide guidance and support to mainstream colleagues on effective strategies and resources for inclusive practice.
- Liaise effectively with the SENCO, parents, external agencies (e.g., therapists, educational psychologists), and other stakeholders.
- Lead or assist with the transition planning for students moving between key stages or on to post-16 provision.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience of teaching students with a diverse range of SEND (e.g., Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language Needs).
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students.
- A commitment to inclusive practice and the belief that every child can achieve.
- Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A specialism or further qualification in a SEND-related area (e.g., a relevant Master's degree or National Award for SEN Coordination) is desirable.
