Responsibilities of a Senior Practitioner within the Family Support Team:
- Work with families on a Long Term plan
- Involved in all aspects which include planning and review for children receiving care and support as those with child protection plans, or until court proceedings conclude
- Supervise less experienced social workers and practitioners to achieve positive outcomes for children and families
- Lead on complex cases and chair key meetings such as case reviews and core group meetings.
- Collect and analyse information and present your findings at strategic meetings
- Monitor and assess the quality of work carried out by social workers
- Carry out case reviews and provide feedback to improve social workers' skills and practice
- Model good practice for less experienced social workers and support their well-being
Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification
- 3+ years experience of working within a similar setting
- Supervisory/Senior Social Worker experience
- Social Work Wales registration or eligible to apply
- A passion for achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work
- A creative and innovative approach
