Job Title: Senior Social Worker - Children in Care Team
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Hourly Rate: £35 per hour

Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people across Bradford.
About the Role:
As a Senior Social Worker within our Children in Care team, you will hold a complex and varied caseload, providing high-quality social work intervention to children and young people who are looked after by the local authority. You will play a crucial role in ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive long-term outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking comprehensive assessments and care planning for children in care.
- Working collaboratively with children, young people, their families, carers, and a range of multi-agency professionals.
- Preparing for and attending LAC reviews, permanence panels, and court hearings.
- Providing support and guidance to less experienced social workers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
- Contributing to the service's commitment to continuous improvement and best practice.
About You:
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering excellent social work practice and committed to achieving the best for children in care.
You will need:
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience in children's social work, specifically within a Children in Care, Looked After Children (LAC), or long-term child protection team.
- A strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to children in care.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a supportive team.
- A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development.
