Position: Sensory Play & Therapeutic Provision Tutor
Location: Tamworth, B79
Hours: 8 hours per week, flexible part-time
Salary: £25 - £30 per hour, dependent on experience
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a motivated individual with experience in sensory play and providing therapeutic support to young children. You will be helping a reception-aged child with their development in a fun and engaging way.
Only candidates who already possess an enhanced DBS on the update service will be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing personalised sensory play activities.
- Delivering therapeutic sessions to support the child's specific needs.
- Assessing the child's progress and adapting activities as needed.
- Creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Desired Experience & Qualities:
- Previous experience working with young children (reception age).
- Experience in a therapeutic or special education setting.
- Familiarity with supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) or those who are disengaged.
- Ability to accept supervision and constructive feedback.
- Inspirational, effective, and adaptable communication skills.
- Proficiency in IT and access to a laptop/computer.
- Ability to cultivate a meaningful and motivating relationship with a child.
