Are you an experienced social care leader looking for a meaningful challenge in the North East? Middlesbrough Council is seeking a dedicated Service Manager to lead our Care Planning Service.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality care planning and intervention, ensuring that the children and families of Middlesbrough receive the support and protection they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Provide robust management to a team of Team Managers and Social Workers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Service Delivery: Ensure all care planning activities meet statutory requirements and departmental standards.
Performance Management: Monitor KPIs and service outcomes to drive high performance across the service area.
Partnership Working: Collaborate effectively with external agencies, health partners, and education providers to ensure holistic support for service users.
What We Are Looking For
Qualified Social Worker: Valid Social Work England registration is essential.
Leadership Experience: A proven track record of managing statutory children's services at a senior level.
Expert Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Children Act 1989/2004 and relevant safeguarding legislation.
Resilience: The ability to lead a team through complex cases and organizational change with a calm, solution-focused approach.
