Project: Onshore Substation for a Major Offshore Wind Farm Location: Necton, Norfolk Contract: Long-Term Freelance
Are you an experienced Site Agent with a background in heavy civils? This is a unique opportunity to join a major civils contractor on a high-profile, long-term infrastructure project. We're building the critical onshore substation that will connect a large-scale offshore wind farm to the National Grid.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of the on-site team, you will manage the daily civils operations at the Necton substation. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
Project Planning: Produce and manage 4-week look-ahead programmes to keep the project on schedule.
Team Leadership: Encourage, guide, and motivate site workers to maintain a productive and safe environment.
Site Management: Oversee all on-site activities, including direct labor and subcontractors.
Health & Safety: Uphold and enforce all health and safety standards.
Quality Control: Ensure all work meets the highest quality and specification standards.
Reporting: Deliver accurate site reports and progress updates.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer on heavy civils projects.
Experience with substation, energy, or large-scale infrastructure civils is a plus.
Demonstrable experience in producing short-term work plans.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Relevant qualifications, including SMSTS and CSCS.
