Randstad is seeking a Site Engineer to join a highly reputable contractor on a highways scheme in North London near Tottenham.
Previous experience working on highways contracts (eg National Highways / TFL) is highly enouraged.
This role is paid via CIS and expected to last 4-6months.
Scope of work will include roadworks and surfacing schemes, drainage, street lighting, lining and signing projects, accessibility upgrades, urban realm improvement and walking / cycling paths

- Support the Senior engineer in daily subcontractor management, progress monitoring, and report writing.
- Manage short-term programming and sequencing, aligning with the overall project schedule.
- QC / QA and checking of setting out.
- Complete Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) check sheets.
- Support efficient management of day and night shift activities.
- Oversee diverse work scopes, collaborating with supervision to streamline operations.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, sustainability, and environmental standards.
- Ensure permits, RAMS, and QA documents are completed as required.
- Promote efficiency and productivity improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in site management, particularly within the highways construction industry.
- ONC, HNC, or degree in civil engineering
- CSCS
- Strong record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing safety concerns and quality issues.
- Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to quality and exceeding expectations.
