Site Engineer - HS2 Chipping Warden (Structures & Earthworks)

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Site Engineer to join our dynamic team on the HS2 project in Chipping Warden. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's most ambitious engineering undertakings.
About the Role:
Based at the Chipping Warden site, you will be instrumental in the delivery of key structural and earthworks packages for HS2. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting out and surveying for structural and earthworks elements.
- Ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and designs.
- Managing and supervising site activities, ensuring adherence to programme and budget.
- Liaising with the design team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate site records and documentation.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture.
About You:
The successful candidate will possess:
- A degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer, with a demonstrable track record in both structures (e.g., bridges, viaducts, retaining walls) and earthworks (e.g., cuttings, embankments, drainage).
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects; HS2 experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in setting out techniques and using surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS).
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive and methodical approach to work.
- CSCS card and relevant site safety qualifications.
