They are seeking a highly competent Site Manager to provide essential holiday cover for a 2-week period, overseeing a roof replacement project in Hammersmith. This role offers the potential to transition onto a new project upon successful completion.
About Our Client:
Our client is a respected contractor known for their efficient delivery and high standards of workmanship on external and internal works, including complex roofing projects. They are looking for a reliable individual to seamlessly step in and manage this critical project during a key period.
The Role:
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a roof replacement project in Hammersmith. This will be a focused 2-week assignment covering holiday leave, with the exciting possibility of moving onto another project upon successful completion. You will be the primary point of contact on-site, ensuring the project progresses safely, on time, and to the required quality, while effectively managing all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the on-site management of the roof replacement project during the 2-week cover period.
Ensure the project is delivered according to the agreed programme and quality standards.
Effectively manage and coordinate all subcontractors involved in the roofing works.
Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Monitor the quality of workmanship, specifically for roofing installations.
Maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders, including the wider project team.
Liaise professionally and effectively with residents, addressing any queries or concerns regarding the works.
Identify and resolve any on-site issues or delays promptly.
Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
Manage site logistics, including deliveries and material storage, as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager, with a strong background in roofing projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage subcontractors and liaise effectively with residents.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
A proactive and hands-on approach to site management.
Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations within a construction environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Valid CSCS card.
Valid SMSTS certificate.
Valid First Aid certificate.
Must be immediately available for a 2-week contract.
Must be able to commute to the Hammersmith area.
