Randstad C&P are currently recruiting a Site Manager on behalf of a a leading Tier One Contractor in the construction industry, specialising in delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. As a Site Manager, selected candidates will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects in Oxford. The suitable candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, budgets, and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage on-site construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and material procurement to ensure timely project delivery.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to address any issues and ensure project requirements are met.
- Monitor project progress and budget expenditures, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive solutions to mitigate delays and cost overruns.
- Supervise and mentor site staff, providing guidance and support to foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the construction industry, preferably with a Tier One Contractor.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and address challenges in a timely manner.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
