The Role:
- Being the first point of contact for new referrals and urgent situations, providing timely and effective responses.
- Conducting initial assessments to understand immediate needs and risks.
- Providing advice, information, and support to individuals, families, and partner agencies.
- Developing and implementing short-term action plans to address immediate concerns
- Safeguarding vulnerable adults and children in line with local procedures and legislation.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals, including health, education, and police colleagues.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW).
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Social Worker.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- The worker requires excellent communication skills as the work involves multi-agency liaison and the ability to establish effective working relationships across the Health and Social Care Partnership, partner agencies and 3rd sector organisations.
