Leicestershire City Council is looking for a passionate Social Worker to join our dynamic Assessments Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of our service, ensuring timely and effective support for individuals and families across Leicestershire.
About the Role:
As a Social Worker in our Assessments Team, you'll be on the front lines, conducting comprehensive assessments to identify needs, risks, and strengths for individuals and families. You'll play a crucial role in shaping positive outcomes and ensuring vulnerable people receive the right support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out high-quality, person-centred assessments to understand complex situations.
- Collaborating closely with individuals, families, and other professionals to develop effective care plans.
- Applying relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance.
- Contributing to safeguarding efforts and promoting the well-being of vulnerable adults and children.
- Maintaining accurate records and preparing clear, concise reports.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and fostering strong partnerships.
About You:
We're looking for a qualified Social Worker with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional services. You'll need:
- A recognised Social Work qualification.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in undertaking assessments within a social care setting, ideally within a local authority.
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and the Children Act 1999 (as applicable).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and thrive as part of a supportive team.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
