The goal is to provide integrated, expert support directly to families, addressing the root causes of risk and enabling children to remain safely at home whenever possible.

Rate of Pay: £38 per hour
The Role
As a social worker in the Family Safeguarding Team, you will manage a varied caseload of children and families, working collaboratively with embedded adult specialists. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Managing a caseload of children and families where there are significant and complex needs.
Undertaking comprehensive statutory assessments including Child in Need (CIN) and Section 47 Child Protection Enquiries.
Developing, implementing, and reviewing multi-agency plans to reduce risk and achieve positive outcomes for children.
Working directly with parents alongside adult specialists to address parental issues such as substance misuse, domestic abuse, and mental health challenges.
Preparing for and attending Child Protection Conferences and court proceedings (Public Law Outline), as required.
Promoting a family-led approach, empowering families to create lasting change with the support of the team.
Maintaining accurate and timely electronic records in line with statutory requirements and council policy.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled professional with:
A recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW) with current registration with Social Work England.
A full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use (or ability to travel efficiently around the borough).
